Housekeeping Suite Attendant

NEW STARTING PAY RATE - $9.25/HR

NEW 90 DAY PAY RATE - $10.00/HR

Job responsibilities include:

  • Provides highest level of cleanliness quality to all guest suites in a timely manner and in accordance with established Hotel “Room-Readiness” standards and guidelines.
  • Follows company policy and procedures for key control, chemical handling and safety guidelines.
  • Reports all suite maintenance problems per department guidelines in a timely manner.
  • Cleans, returns and stores equipment in the proper location.
  • 40 hours of on the job training provided.

Required skills include:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 6 month experience is a must.
  • Must be able to complete required number of suites/rooms on a daily basis as determined by hotel and management needs.
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to meet flexible scheduling requirements that may include shifts, weekends, holidays, etc. as required by management. Schedule time is 8:30am-5:00pm

Food & Beverage Bartender

NEW STARTING PAY RATE - $6.50/HR + TIPS

NEW 90 DAY RATE - $8.00/HR + TIPS

Day-to-day responsibilities for this position include:

  • Staffing one of three bar areas
  • Prepare standard mixed drinks according to drink recipes and to match customer’s specific orders
  • Pour wine and beer
  • Operate cash register
  • Clean up after customers and your work area
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining liquor and bar supplies

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • One year bartending experience required
  • Minimum of 1 year cash handling preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certified Food Handlers certification is not necessary, but helpful
  • Flexible schedule availability is mandatory. Weekends and holidays are a must

Food & Beverage Buffet Attendant PM

Day-to-day responsibilities for this position include:

  • Handle hot and cold food
  • Follow and maintain sanitation guidelines set by culinary department
  • Keep the buffet clean and stocked during operating hours
  • Replenish the food on the buffet as needed
  • Help with all stations on the buffet as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a hospitality environment
  • Knowledge of proper food handling and temperatures
  • Stand and walk on hard surface floors for 8 hours per day
  • Lift heavy objects
  • Must be available to work 7 days a week, including weekends
  • Must be able to work evenings

Food & Beverage Cook 2

NEW STARTING PAY RATE - $10.00 - $11.00/HR

Day-to-day responsibilities for this position include:

  • High volume preparation of foods for Nicktoons Restaurant/Buffet, Room Service, and Mall Buffet
  • General cooking, re-heating and finishing of hot foods, stocks and sauces
  • Stations including sanitizer buckets, proper cutting boards, utensils for cooking, hot steam wells, powering of large cooking equipment and general mise en place for the day
  • Produce all hot foods according to established health guidelines set forth by local health department and hotel management team
  • Record temperatures in the proper logs adhering to established procedures communicating any abnormal temperatures and taking appropriate action to resolve them
  • Assist fellow team members, cooks and buffet attendants as necessary
  • Communicate with immediate supervisor about any deficiencies in quality

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years cooking experience in high volume restaurant or hotel setting required
  • Full a la carte experience required, i.e.:  grill, sauté, fry, Gard Manger
  • Ability to understand standardized recipe cards, volume and dry weight measurement required
  • Ability to read and produce recipes based on needs required
  • Ability to work in a team based environment
  • Must have full availability, including weekends and holidays

Food & Beverage Executive Chef

The very first and onlyNickelodeon Suites Resort (Nick Hotel) is looking for staff in the Food & Beverage department. If you like to have fun and at the same time get paid for it, you are looking in the correct direction. We are looking for a dynamic person to develop her/his culinary career in the position of Executive Chef. In other words, we are looking for an individual to BRING NICK TO LIFE in the kitchen.

Day-to-day responsibilities for this position include:   

  • Coordinates activities of and directs training of Chefs, Cooks, and other kitchen workers engaged in preparing and cooking foods to ensure an efficient and profitable food service
  • Plans/Participates in planning menus and utilization of food surpluses and leftovers, taking into account probable number of guests, marketing conditions, popularity of various dishes
  • Estimates food consumption and purchases or requisitions foodstuffs and kitchen supplies
  • Reviews menus, analyzes recipes, determines food, labor, and overhead costs, and assigns prices to menu items
  • Directs food apportionment policy to control costs
  • Supervises cooking and other kitchen personnel and coordinates their assignments to ensure economical and timely food production
  • Observes methods of food preparation and cooking, sizes of portions, and garnishing of foods to ensure food is prepared in prescribed manner
  • Tests cooked foods by tasting and smelling them
  • Devises special dishes and develops recipe
  • Familiarizes newly hired Chefs and Cooks with practices of kitchen and oversees training of Cook Apprentices
  • Establishes and enforces nutrition and sanitation standards for restaurant
  • Enforces HACCP procedures for sanitation and cleanliness in all food production areas
  • Meets with vendors to discuss new items that will help increase food quality and service
  • Reviews comparison shopping done by purchasing manager to ensure proper product is purchased and ensures quality integrity is achieved
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Completion of associate degree, Bachelor or equivalent from an accredited culinary or hospitality school
  • Minimum of five years experience as Executive Chef in a multi-outlets upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service
  • Must be proficient in areas of sanitation and supervision, other managerial and/or food-related certifications mandated by the state of Florida required
  • Hotel or resort experience preferred

  • Greets guests and adjusts complaints
  • Assures prompt and courteous service
  • Inspects dining room service stations
  • Prepares beverages and expedites food orders
  • Partners to collect payment
  • Totals receipts and clears cash register
  • Provides quality guest service in accordance with company Quality Service Performance Standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3 days on the job training in addition to 2 days classroom training including TIPS
  • 1 year experience in a themed restaurant or resort preferred; or equivalent in education and experience
  • Must be available to work 7 days a week including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work evenings
