Entertainment Costume Tech

Starting Rate:  $11.00/HR

Job responsibilities include:

  • Laundering costumes, stage towels and show contestant clothing on a daily basis
  • Maintaining show quality of character costumes and props as assigned
  • Performing minor repairs to costumes and props as assigned
  • preparing scheduled costumes and props for daily operation
  • Assisting with events and special projects as assigned
  • Assisting with inventory and maintaining consumables for costume care on an as needed basis

Required Skills:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays is required
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with limited supervision
  • Use of sewing machine and hand sewing experience is a must
  • Previous seamstress and laundry experience is preferred
  • Previous experience with Character Costumes is preferred.

Recreation Arcade Attendant

Nick Hotel, the world’s first and only Nickelodeon themed resort is currently seeking an Arcade/4D/Laser Maze attendant to help “Bring Nick to Life”.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

We are currently accepting applications for an Entertainment Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains assigned daily operations in the Entertainment Department.
  • Maintains show quality to uphold established artistic vision and assigned operating guidelines supporting both Nickelodeon and company requirements.
  • Administers training and development of assigned staff and areas of entertainment operation.
  • Promotes and encourages positive interactions with all guests at all times in compliance with company Quality Guest Service Standards and Behaviors, thereby ensuring guests complaints and concerns are promptly addressed.
  • Works with department management to provide and ensure positive relations, communication, and interactions with team members in accordance with company Quality Service Performance Standards and Behaviors as they apply internally.
  • Administers training and development of assigned staff.
  • Interacts with and relates to children and teens in a positive manner at all times.
  • Works with and through management to coordinate and execute staffing needs and work schedules.
  • Completes daily and monthly routine reports and paperwork as assigned by management.
  • Assists with interviewing and hiring as needed.
  • Assists the Management team with special events as required.
  • Administer department and hotel policies.
  • Maintains good working relationships with all team members, the Entertainment Management team, and other managers as necessary to ensure efficient supervision of assigned entertainment venues, shows, and programs.
  • Maintains assigned facilities and break areas working with and through assigned Housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Participates in and completes all company and department supervisor training as required.
  • Participates in and completes all company and department Guest Services training as required.
  • Promotes a positive spirit and unity within the department through personal positive attitude and behaviors
  • Models professional disposition while leading by example.
  • Maintains positive interactions with the guest at all times to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Participates in Department and Company Manager On Duty programs as required.
  • Participates in mandatory training, meetings and note sessions within the department.
  • Performs all job duties in a safe manner in accordance with established company and department safety policies, practices, and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • High school degree or GED.Associate’s degree (AA) or Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in (discipline) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in theme park, hotel or entertainment required.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Previous supervisory experience is required.
  • Previous experience working with costumed characters preferred.
  • Must have full availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

Housekeeping Houseperson

The responsibilities to perform this job are provided below:

• Maintain corridors and keep them clear of all linen and trash
• Keep linen closets and linen shoots free of debris
• Replenish suite attendant carts as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills:

• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs.

This position requires a work schedule from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

New Starting Wage - $11.00

Accounting and Finance Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Qualified candidates must be highly organized and detail oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and must have superior data entry skills with the ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines.

Job Duties include:

  • Assist the Sales team in establishing customer credit in accordance with existing policies and procedures to include but not limited to the application process, reference checks, credit limits, deposit requirement and other credit related activities.
  • Provide customers with accurate and timely invoices and statements.
  • Resolve credit card disputes, reply to bank inquiries and chargebacks in a timely manner to prevent financial loss due to lack of timely or accurate response.
  • Respond effectively to Guests’ (both internal & external) inquiries in a timely manner. Communicate all issues and/or disputes to operating departments and immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain an efficient collection process to include an organized filing and tracing system, monitor returned items, charge backs, perform collection calls and prepare bad debt write-offs.
  • Ensure proper internal control by monitoring guest ledger, advance deposit ledger and any other related subsidiary ledgers. (PM accounts and CXL refunds)
  • Implement credit training in operating departments to include proper credit card, cash and check acceptance, limits and approve direct bill listing.
  • Monitor and prepare financial reports meeting various due dates; i.e., weekly aging report, monthly charge back and/or bad debt write off reports.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate must have previously worked in a hotel or resort environment.
  • Must be able to work M-F (08:30 – 05:00).
  • Familiarity with Excel is necessary.
  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivables is preferred.
  • Opera and Micros experience preferred.
  • Must be fluent in English because part of the job is to answer guest calls and inquiries.

Information Technology IT Manager


Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, this position works with the IT Department Team to perform ongoing maintenance and support for all IT Systems within the Nickelodeon Suites Resort, including Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Cisco networking, Opera PMS, Micros POS, Telecommunications, Data Back-up and security, Guest Room Internet, and other IT Systems to ensure maximum performance for use by hotel operations, maximum system up time, reliability, and security meet the needs of the operation(s) as defined by management. The IT Manager also supports all Nick Hotel Team Members by performing various IT services, including troubleshooting workstations, applications, user account maintenance, and other helpdesk related tasks.

The Manager of Information Technology should be able to manage projects as assigned by the Director of Information Technology and make informed independent decisions throughout the project life cycle. This requires the IT Manager to have the skill set needed to implement information technology related projects and provide key input for future initiatives.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
 

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Independently manage projects with little direction; see projects through the entire life cycle
  • Participate as a member of Information Technology team in planning, problem resolution, and regular meetings
  • Working knowledge of Cisco switching, routing, firewall, and other Networking functions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
  • Experience with back end administration of various Hotel systems such as Opera PMS and Micros POS
  • Understanding of system interfacing commonly found in a hotel environment, such as PMS, POS, Call Accounting, HSIA, VOIP Telecommunications, task management systems and more
  • Should have expert networking proficiency and Windows operating systems troubleshooting skills
  • Perform networking maintenance functions such as user creation, assignment of rights and permissions
  • Ability to evaluate and assess computer systems and hardware/software proposals for technical merit, cost effectiveness and business application
  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems
  • Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures
  • Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by the IT Director

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:
Bachelors of Science in Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent work experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 to 5 years managing Microsoft Windows environment, including MS Exchange, VMWare, VOIP, Opera PMS, and Micros POS.

Licenses or Certificates:
CHTP (Certified Hotel Technology Professional), CHA (Certified Hotel Administrator), or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) desired.

  • Investigating complaints of disturbance, theft, vandalism, or accident.
  • Completing incident reports for disturbance, theft, vandalism, and or accident complaints.
  • Transporting emergency equipment to accident scenes.
  • Conferring management, guest and employee to ensure that incident reports depict accurate information.
  • Writing safety and security reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Responding to lost child reports by engaging in property search, communicating with management and law enforcement.
  • Assisting management and law enforcement officers in emergency situations.

Requirements for this position:

  • Regular attendance is required.  Ability to work varied shifts (including 3rd shift).  Weekends and holiday availability a must.
  • High school degree or GED
  • 1-3 years prior security experience is preferred.
  • A valid class D Security license is required/or must be applied for within 30 days.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written ).
  • American Red Cross Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
  • Rapid mobility is required to respond to emergency situations
  • This position occasionally will require lifting up to 50 pounds.
